Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation is proud to the Bright Start scholarship to Coffey County high school seniors. The fund awards a minimum of 10 scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating seniors in Coffey County who are pursuing a degree from a four-year, two-year or vocational institution of higher learning. We are pleased to support the efforts of young people in our community who are working to further their education. To apply, students must submit the following:

  • one-page typed, double-spaced essay stating why they should be considered for the scholarship based on accomplishments and future plans
  • copy of the student’s transcript (minimum of a 3.0 grade point average)
  • list of activities (academic, sports, community, etc.)
  • two letters of recommendation
